Hello everyone, and welcome to my wine blog! I am excited to start this journey to learn more about wine! Although I am not very experienced with wine, I come from a family that is filled with wine connoisseurs of some sort. Currently, I mostly drink what my mom tells me I would like, but I am looking forward to branching out and learning about wine in this course. As a wine enthusiast who is just starting out, I am excited to develop a palette for wine and am happy to explore this new world!
Right now, I tend to drink a glass of wine three times a week after dinner. My main choice of wine would be a glass of rose or riesling because of their sweetness. If it is not sweet or sparking, I usually steer clear of it! I am not a fan of dry or red wines currently, but I am hoping this class will help me diversify my appreciation for different types of wine.
In this course, I am hoping to learn a few different things. First, I would like to know how to properly order wine at a restaurant. I alway see ordering wine as a daunting task and would love to become knowledgable enough that this task becomes simple for me. Also, I would like to learn which glasses to use for specific wines, since I have always wondered why different wines come in different glasses.
I am excited to see how much my palette and knowledge for wine will grow throughout this course!
